Hunting Dambo Trolls in Omaha!
We’ve all grown up hearing fairy tales. In those tales, trolls were usually mean, gruff creatures that many people did not like or relate to. I’m happy to say one of my favorite artists, Thomas Dambo, has turned that storyline around with his troll creations and you can see six large Dambo trolls at Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha until May 18, 2026.
A Visit to Oklahoma City’s First Americans Museum
Did you know November is Native American Heritage Month? In honor of that distinction, I’m writing about a wonderful and informative museum in Oklahoma City called the First Americans Museum. Oklahoma City is beautiful and well worth a trip and the First Americans Museum is a “must visit” attraction while you are there!

In August 2024 I achieved a personal milestone (a.k.a. Bucket list) that I added to my to-do list in 2013 - more than 11 years ago. I spent one absolutely GLORIOUS full day at The Butchart Gardens near Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. To me, this place is like heaven on earth. See why!
