We’ve all grown up hearing fairy tales. In those tales, trolls were usually mean, gruff creatures that many people did not like or relate to. I’m happy to say one of my favorite artists, Thomas Dambo, has turned that storyline around with his troll creations and you can see six large Dambo trolls at Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha until May 18, 2026.

When I visit a museum, I often learn something new. That was certainly the case with the new exhibit at the Omaha Durham Museum. I walked in the museum not entirely knowing what a Green Book was and walked out with a new appreciation of their role in America’s history.
