When I visit a museum, I often learn something new. That was certainly the case with the new exhibit at the Omaha Durham Museum. I walked in the museum not entirely knowing what a Green Book was and walked out with a new appreciation of their role in America’s history.

What do you do when you have a passion for art, glass artistry, photography, tulips, unique flowers, the ocean, flowering trees, snow-covered mountains, lighthouses, wildlife, and nature all at the same time? You head to western Washington in April!

Recently, I was fortunate to be able to cross an item off my bucket list. I have wanted to attend the world’s largest hot air balloon festival (the International Balloon Fiesta, held in Albuquerque, New Mexico each October) for quite a while.
